Position a chisel on the tile surface.
If using a chisel place the chisel at a slight angle atop the grout and use the hammer to tap on the chisel as.
If you attempt to remove a tile while the grout is in place the grout joints will put pressure on the surrounding tiles which may weaken or crack them.
Once you have the marble cracked and shattered in several places you can start to remove large pieces from the floor.
Always wear safety glasses when removing ceramic tile.

Use a ball peen or masonry hammer and cold chisel to tap the pieces free.

Once the tile is down take a 5 in 1 tool and scrapper to remove any excess grout.
Marble tile is just as susceptible to staining as solid marble but you can use the same method to remove stains from marble tile as you would solid stone.
With the removal of the one tile keep going under the surrounding tiles gently popping the tile from the wall by prying it from the wall using the scraper and hammer.
You can either use a floor scraper from a standing position to pry up large sections of tile or use the flat edge of a masonry chisel to slide up under the side of individual tiles to lift them away.
